Sun Devil 10U Baseball (2025)
The NCW Sun Devils select 10U baseball team is a member affiliate of Perfect Game and plays in the Majors Division. We are a tournament/travel team. Our current teams consist of players from communities throughout North Central Washington. Our players are encouraged to play recreation league baseball and Cal Ripken All Stars for their respective communities. The NCW Sun Devils select baseball program is a year-round program. We work around schedules to encourage our players to be multi-sport athletes. We practice indoors during the winter and play tournaments starting in April and playing 1-3 tournament per month through August. During the "All-Star" break (June-July) we continue to practice and play in tournaments coordinating with the youth baseball programs in and around North Central Washington so our players can be a part of their community programs.

PARENT COMMITMENT
-
I will stay positive on social media about this organization, its players, its parents and its competitors.
-
I will commit to helping my player be a good teammate.
-
I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game and practice.
-
I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of my personal desire to win.
-
I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to provide a positive experience for all.
-
I will remember the game is for the kids-not the adults.
-
I will ask my child to treat players, coaches, officials, and opponents with respect.
-
I will have my child at as many team practices and games as possible, I will inform coaches of an absence as early in advance as possible. This program believes that family is very important and things will come up.
-
I will not coach from the stands.
-
I will use the 24-hour rule when talking to coaches after games or practices.
-
I will encourage my child to participate in other sports, this creates great athletes.
-
I will not talk negatively about other players, or coaches in front of my child.
-
I will support fundraising efforts put forth by this program.
Here is the toughest part
-
I will be a silent source of encouragement during my child's games. This is especially important at the younger age levels. Baseball requires focus and concentration, and most of the time parents and fans are sitting fairly close to players as they are hitting, on deck, catching or pitching. Please let the coaches have your child's attention and let your child focus on them, and the game. Imagine yelling into the quarterback’s ear right before he snaps the ball. This sounds tough, but it is actually relaxing when you let your child play, and the coaches coach, and you get to sit back and enjoy the game!
